Auto Insurance Card Holders

Auto Insurance Card Holders

Let's face it - most drivers' glove compartments are the automotive equivalent of a kitchen junk drawer that everything gets thrown into. You might find an owner's manual, some old maps, tissues, napkins, an ice scraper, a pen, a pad, and maybe a flashlight. Realistically speaking, the last thing that anyone wants to do during a traffic stop or, even worse, after an auto accident, is to have to dig around in their glove compartment trying to find their auto insurance identification card. And when they do find it, it may not be in the best condition. That's why so many insurance agents provide their clients with an auto insurance card holder when they write a new auto insurance policy.

First of all, what is an insurance card holder? The vast majority of them are vinyl sleeves that protect the insurance card from damage, not only while the insurance card is in the glove compartment but also from rain or snow. Typically, the card holder is made of colored vinyl on one side that is heat-sealed on three sides to clear vinyl on the other so that the insurance card can be easily read without taking it out of the holder. Most insurance card holders come in a choice of four vinyl colors: blue, red, green and black.

The vinyl that these card holders are made of is a perfect material for foil-stamping, which, in turn, makes card holders a great way for insurance agents and agencies to advertise themselves and their services.

The vast majority of insurance card holders come in three styles. The first style is foil-stamped with the insurance agency's logo, name, address, phone and fax numbers. The foil-stamped imprint can also include the agency's industry affiliation such as Trusted Choice®, etc.

The second style is similar to the first one in that it is foil-stamped with the same agency information, but it also includes eight valuable tips on "What To Do At The Scene Of An Auto Accident". If you've ever been in a car accident, you know that you may or may not be as clear-headed as you should be when it comes to gathering all of the pertinent information that you will need later on when filing your claim. These tips can save you a lot of time and aggravation later on.

The other popular style also has the "What To Do" tips on it, but instead of having the agency's imprint foil-stamped on it, it has a small clear vinyl pocket that holds the insurance agent's business card.
